Fighting for Working Families
Rachel Cuevas grew up in a military family. Her parents, both veterans, raised her to be a hardworking woman who solves problems in her community. She has spent her career helping veterans find good-paying jobs and employment while raising her family in Alburtis. Rachel is feeling the squeeze of high costs while politicians care more about special interest than local families, so she's stepping up to run for State Representative to do something about it:
Everyday Affordability
Families in the Lehigh Valley are struggling under rising inflation, high costs for everyday items like groceries, and increasing rates for utilities. Rachel will work to lower the cost of groceries and household essentials to relieve the burden on working families.
Affordable Housing
Housing shouldn’t be unattainable for the average person in the Lehigh Valley, but as supply dwindles and prices keep rising, homeownership is becoming out of reach for many. Rachel will support responsibly building more truly affordable housing in the region to bring down costs and make homeownership a reality again.
Affordable Healthcare
The average cost of healthcare, be it preventative, emergency, or end-of-life care, has gotten out of control. Rachel will find solutions that increase benefits, bring down premiums, and free Pennsylvanians from crippling medical debt.
Protecting Farmland and Green Space
The Lehigh Valley has become a hotspot for warehouse and data center proposals, but unchecked development is threatening the nature, farmland, and open space that makes this region feel like home. Rachel will push back on the spread of data centers and big box warehouses to make sure growth is responsible and accountable to the community.

Strong Public Schools
Public education is essential to helping our children succeed in life, but it is struggling to meet their needs because of a lack of funding. Rachel will support driving more state funding into public schools to make sure all kids, teachers, and parents are given the resources they need without senseless property tax increases.
Community Safety
Our first responders put their health and lives on the line to keep us safe, and they deserve more support. Rachel will secure grants, funding, and resources for first responders to help them continue doing good work in our communities.
